Last updated: 17 June 2026

1. Who we are

Customs Policy Intelligence (customscompliancepro.com) is an independent, non-profit platform providing analysis and training on EU customs law and reform. For privacy matters contact: privacy@customscompliancepro.com.

2. What data we collect and why

2.1 Essential operation

We collect no personal data simply from browsing the public pages of this site. The site is served via Cloudflare's global network; Cloudflare may process your IP address transiently for security and routing purposes under their own Privacy Policy.

2.2 Newsletter subscription

If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address. This is processed by our newsletter provider (Buttondown / MailerLite) solely to send you updates. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

2.3 Members access requests

When you submit a members access request we collect your name, work email, organisation and role. This data is used solely to evaluate and manage your access request. It is processed via Formspree and stored only as long as necessary. Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

2.4 Members area authentication

Access to the members workspace is managed by Cloudflare Zero Trust Access, which verifies your email address via a one-time code. Cloudflare processes this data under their Privacy Policy. We do not store authentication logs ourselves.

2.5 Analytics (with consent only)

If you accept analytics cookies we may load Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It collects aggregated, anonymous page-view data. No personal data is passed to third-party advertising networks. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" below.

3. Cookies

We use one item of browser storage (localStorage key cpi_cookie_consent) to remember your cookie preference. This is not a cookie and does not leave your device. No tracking or advertising cookies are set without your explicit consent.

4. Data retention

Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe. Access request data: deleted within 12 months of the request being resolved. Analytics data: aggregated and anonymous, no retention limit applies.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any right contact privacy@customscompliancepro.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

6. International transfers

Our service providers (Cloudflare, Formspree, Buttondown) are US-based and transfer data under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards approved by the European Commission.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter.
